Hi guys. It's Dylan from the Fergus team here. Today I wanted to show you through, creating a new job in Fergus. Uh, so to begin, we'll, hit the new job button on the top left.
Now, as soon as we select this, we need to populate the job with some customer details. So this could be a new customer, or we can search for an existing Whenever you select a customer, you have the option to choose whether you want to use the same address for the customer as the site. Or you can choose a new one Within Fergus, you need to choose which type of job you're doing. Whether it's a charge up estimate or a quote, depending on what you choose will depend on the workflow.
We also need to give our job a title. Yeah, and a description of the work. The Job Description Field is what gets sent through to the mobile app, so being descriptive here will help the guys in the field. But don't worry. You can change this at any stage if you need to.
Once we've done that, we just hit Create job and we're taken to the job card in Fergus now. Because I've selected a charge up, I've automatically got a site visit created and you're now ready to start scheduling, recording labour and also adding in materials to the job as it progresses.
