Hi, everyone. Dylan here from the Fergus team. In this video, I'm gonna show you how to create a variation in Fergus.

Sometimes when you're on site for one job, another comes up. As a result. If you need to keep this separate, you can use variations. Variations are great for extra work outside the scope of a quote or estimate, for example, To get started, we will need to be in a job within Fergus. On the top right of every job is the ellipses, the three dots, Selecting this will open a list of options and we want to select variation.

All you need to do is select what type of job this is. And Fergus will copy the details over to the new job. If we look at the top left, we now have an icon telling us that this is a variation of the previous job we looked at. just like any other job created in Fergus. We can change the details and inter costs, et cetera.

But the beauty of the variation is we can look at the job as a whole, including variations on the financial summary, or drill down into jobs as individuals. Using variations in Fergus helps cater to those unexpected pieces of work that arise when on a site for a particular job. And when it comes time to invoice, you can generate one invoice for both jobs and help streamline the process of invoicing.
