Hi, everyone. Dylan here from the Fergus team. In this video, I'm gonna show you how to enter time in Fergus from the desktop version.
To get started, we will need a job to record our time in. When opening a job, Fergus will default to the most recent site visit.
If this is not where you need to record your time, simply select the appropriate site visit from the list here. in the site. Visit itself are a number of tabs. We want to be in the labour tab. The first thing to do here is to select the staff member.
You want to add the time for Fergus will have a dropdown list of your users so you can just select one. By default. Fergus will pull through the charge out rate recorded against that user, but you can override this if needed. Next step is to select the date and time for this. Fergus will give you a warning. If you overlap or duplicate any time entries for this date.
Now you need to enter a description of work this can be imported to your invoices so the client can see the work carried out and will also appear on the timesheet overview. If you need to record any uncharged time such as lunch breaks, you can use the next section for this selecting an uncharged reason from the list here. You then need to specify how long this was for this entry will need to be one for an hour and 10.5 for half an hour. Once you are happy with the uncharged time, simply push add. This will be displayed below.
Confirming this last step is to select add time entry at the bottom Fergus will then check if your work is completed. This moves your entry out of the section and records it against the site visit on the right-hand side, and it's done entering time into Fergus records
Everything digitally so you don't have to fill out and collect paper worksheets.
