The reminders feature in Fergus lets you automate reminders for quote and estimate visits, scheduled events for active jobs, and outstanding invoices.
This helps streamline communication with your customers, ensuring a smooth and professional experience.
To get started, click on the profile icon in the top right corner, then select ‘Settings’.
From the menu on the left, head to ‘Reminders’.
Before you begin, let’s talk about SMS reminders.
Reminders. If you want to use SMS, you’ll need to enable it first. To do this, click on ‘SMS settings’ in the top right corner and follow the steps to set up SMS.
Once it’s ready, head back to ‘Reminders’ to continue.
There are three types of reminders available.
Quote and estimate visit reminders notify customers about upcoming visits for quotes or estimates.
Scheduled events reminders are for scheduled events against a job. Finally, we have invoice reminders to help you automatically follow-up on outstanding invoices. You can choose SMS, email or both for these notifications.
Now, keep in mind the timing of your reminders.
For example, if you set an SMS reminder to go out twelve hours before an event, it might send at one am for a one pm job. Probably not ideal. A safer option is to schedule reminders twenty four hours in advance or even forty eight hours, ensuring customers get them at a reasonable time. Once you’ve enabled reminders and chosen when they should be sent, you’re all set.
Quick tip. Customize your reminder templates for a more personal touch. Here’s how. Simply click the view template button next to each reminder.
