Hi everyone. Dylan here from the Fergus team. In this video, I'm gonna show you how to set up a recurring job template.
There may be some jobs you do for clients once a week, month or a year. For whatever reason, using Fergus you can set this up so you can have the job automatically create itself with all the details you need.
To get started, you'll need the original job you created open if it's a copy of an existing job, or you can create a new job to work off using the three dots on the top right of the job card you can select make reoccurring. This opens a new section for you to specify how you would like to manage this.
On the left-hand side is the template details. In here you will have the job type and the customer and site details below this. The job description Customer order number. And what pricing tier the customer has on the right hand side is the recurring options.
Here. You can set a budget for the job. This will be specific to each instance of the job and is optional. below. This is the start. On date, Now this is when the first instance will be created from this template. Essentially, this tells Fergus when to make the first copy of the job.
The original job will stay the same, so you'll want to set this to be the next time the job will take place. For example, if you are building the template off a job that is scheduled for the near future, you don't want to set this to be the same date as you will end up with a duplicate job. It needs to be the next time you are planning on that job to recur on.
Next, you want to set the frequency at which this is to repeat. You can set this to be every week, month or year. Otherwise, you can use a custom repeat. you can also set an end on date. In this section, you also have automatically assigned to move to the scheduling column on the status board. further down, you have the option to sit when this job will be created in Fergus. Fergus will default to creating the job three days before. But you can choose from the options to find something more applicable if needed.
Don't forget to save the template. At the bottom of the template is a little report showing you jobs that have been created from this template, and that's all there is to it. Now you have a recurring job template you can set up as many of these as you like, and if you ever need to check on them, you can view recurring jobs from the status board.
If you scroll to the bottom of the status board page, there are three options below this draughts to be archived and recurring jobs. If you click on recurring jobs, a new window opens, showing you all the recurring jobs and the next occurrence.
