“Fergus’ price book upload feature makes it easy to import supplier price files, saving you time on quoting, invoicing, and adding materials to jobs. With pre saved items ready to go, you can skip manual entry and work more efficiently.
Let’s walk through the steps to upload a price book in Fergus.
First, request a CSV file of your price book from your supplier or download one directly from their online portal if available Once you have the CSV file, go to your Fergus settings by clicking on your profile icon in the top right corner In the settings menu, select ‘PriceBooks’ from the options on the left Before uploading, add your supplier by clicking the ‘add supplier’ button in the top left corner.
Then, you’ll see a blue upload box in the center of the page where you can drag and drop your file or click to choose it manually. Next, Fergus will ask you to select the supplier for this price book. After you’ve chosen that supplier, click ‘import’.
Import. Now the final step, Fergus will display a preview of your file and you’ll need to map each column to the correct fields like product code, product name, and cost price, so Fergus can read it correctly.
Once everything is mapped, click upload this price book.
Fergus will handle the rest and you’ll receive a notification once your price book is ready, typically within a few minutes.
And that’s it. To keep your pricing accurate, we recommend updating each supplier’s price book monthly by repeating this process.”
