Communicate with Your Customers Using SMS

 
 

Watch this video to see how SMS is setup in Fergus as well as how to customise the messages your customers receive.

Hi guys. Dylan here from the Fergus team in this video, I want to show you how to set up SMS in Fergus. We need to be in the settings of your Fergus account to access this from the left-hand side menu under integrations, you'll find SMS.

Please note you will need to have a paid subscription to enable this part of Fergus. Once enabled, you will see a record of texts that have been sent and you can then select which country code you would want to be the default for your region.

Once you've set this up, you'll also want to set up templates for the messages sent out. You will see the different types on the left hand side. you can completely customise the text in the body of the message to add your personal touch to the messages.

One thing to note is the tags on the right hand side. These tags are designed to pull information from within Fergus. So if you add in the contact first name, for example, Fergus will find the name of the customer and pop it in the message. This applies to all the tags you see here, so you don't have to write it out every time. at any stage, you can revert the template to the default by clicking here. Lastly, you can check the logs.

This section gives you a breakdown on how you are tracking on the amount of SMS you have sent towards the 23 messages as well as the block of 100 available for purchase. Further down, you can see the messages that have been sent and the body of the message so you can double check what has gone out.
