Create a WIP Report to View Job Costs in a Time Period | Fergus

Watch this video to see how the Work in progress report in Fergus shows you what jobs have had costs added to them over a certain date range.

Hi, everyone Dylan here from the Fergus team. In this video, I'm gonna show you the work and progress report otherwise known as the WIP Report.

In Fergus the work and progress report shows you all the jobs that have had costs added to them within the time frame specified. This report shows you the totals for the jobs presently. So this report can't be used for historical totals to get started, click on reports and then WIP report. When we open this report on the top left, there are filters that you can use. Fergus will default to all types. However, you can filter to different jobs and using the custom dropdown, apply a number of other filters.

Make sure you select submit to action any new filters. Further across there is the date range next to the submit button. If you select the dropdown arrow, you can download this report as a CSV. The table displayed Has the following headings created? This shows the created date of the job group.

This will show any groups that have been assigned to this job job, the number in Fergus and this is also a hyperlink to the job itself. Job type.

Whether it's a quote estimate or charge-up status if the job is active or not. customer showing who the customer was Total chargeable the total amount of the job that was chargeable total cost. How much this job cost you. Price total. How much of this job was quoted or estimated to be the actual margin the amount of margin on this once the job was finished. priced margin

The margin that was expected based on the quote or estimate un invoiced cost. How much any costs not invoice totaled total invoiced the total on the approved invoice or invoices. Cost progress.

This shows the percentage of costs that have been added to the invoices so far. Invoice Progress. This shows how much of the job has been invoiced so far, and lastly, we have the little graph. This is a quick link to the financial summary of the job.

Using the WIP report in Fergus gives you a clear overview of your jobs so you know what needs to be prioritised.
