Contractor and Timesheet Only Users

In this video you can see how to customise your contractors and timesheet only users to give them the appropriate level of access to your Fergus account.

Transcript

Hi everyone. It's Dylan here from the Fergus team. In this video, I'm gonna show you how the contractor and time sheet only user types work. Let's take a look at the contractor permissions first.

The first section is general. This is where you can control the basic things the contractor can do. For example, you may not want them adjusting or seeing your cost prices on things. You can untick this permission to prevent this The next section is projects. This relates to how the contractor can modify them. Reporting below this adjusts what reports the contractor can view. Tasks managers What actions the contractor can take Status Board controls what they can see on the status board if you want them to see it at all.

Calendar defines what type of access they have to the rest of your team's schedules.

Lastly, there is notifications. This controls whether they get notified about quotes being accepted and if a job has been taken off hold to give you an example. This is what a contractor with basic permissions view of Fergus would look like. Let's move on to the time sheet. User time sheet only is designed to be just that.

Generally, this is for first or second year apprentices to simply record time to a job. The permissions are basic. If we start with general, you can choose. If you want them to have access to files and photos on a job, please note timesheet only. Users are unable to add photos to jobs project means that you can choose how they can enter time and also if they can view the notes and history on a job.

Lastly, is the reporting you can choose if they can look at the time sheet overview. Normally, the timesheet user won't look at the desktop version, so let's take a look from the mobile APP. Different user types allow you to customise the level of access your employees need and cater to subcontractors doing limited amounts of work for you.
